1. Scope and legal framework
Version 2026-07-26, effective 26 July 2026.
At a glance: Essential storage keeps login, security, and game preferences working. Optional first-party analytics is activated only after consent.
This policy explains the cookies and comparable browser storage used by Forge & Pray. Under section 25 TDDDG, storing information on a user's device or accessing it generally requires consent unless it is strictly necessary to transmit a communication or provide a digital service expressly requested by the user.
The related processing of personal data is explained in the Privacy Policy. The responsible operator is identified in the Legal Notice.

2. Cookie register
| Name | Purpose and category | Typical lifetime |
|---|---|---|
| fnp_session | Strictly necessary authentication and session continuity. HTTP-only; SameSite=Lax; Secure in production. | Up to 7 days with sliding renewal while used |
| .AspNetCore.Antiforgery.* | Strictly necessary protection of forms and state-changing requests against cross-site request forgery. | Browser session |
| fnp_agreed | Strictly necessary guest identifier used to record the accepted Terms version. HTTP-only; SameSite=Lax; Secure over HTTPS. | Up to 365 days |
| forgeandpray_analytics_consent | Stores the user's analytics choice so the requested privacy setting can be honoured. First-party; SameSite=Lax; Secure over HTTPS. | Up to 180 days |
| forgeandpray_analytics_session | Optional first-party analytics session identifier, created only after consent. HTTP-only; SameSite=Lax; Secure over HTTPS. | Up to 30 days |
“Typical lifetime” describes the current maximum configuration. A cookie can disappear sooner if you sign out, withdraw consent, clear browser data, use private browsing, or the service invalidates it for security.
3. Local browser storage
The game interface uses local storage to remember device-specific controls and layout choices. Current keys include:
- Controls: fnp-hotkeys-v1 and fnp-quickslots-v2.
- Game interface: fnp-game-ui-v2, fnp-hud, fnp-daytime, and fnp-minimap.
- Layout: fnp-minimap-width, fnp-minimap-height, fnp-pos-hud, fnp-pos-quickbar, and fnp-pos-minimap.
These values remain on the device until the relevant setting is reset or browser data is cleared. They control presentation and input preferences; they are not the authoritative source for account progress, shared-world time, map state, inventory, or terrain changes.
4. Analytics choices
The optional analytics session cookie is set only after an affirmative choice. If consent is refused, core game and account features remain available.
The server may still create anonymous aggregate measurements without an analytics cookie. Those records contain the page path without query parameters, request method, response status, response time, site identifier, and timestamp, but no user ID, analytics session ID, IP address, referrer, or user agent.
After consent, optional analytics may include the fuller visit information described in the Privacy Policy. Forge & Pray does not currently use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
5. Accepting, rejecting, and withdrawing
You can accept or reject optional analytics when the privacy control is presented. You can later change or withdraw that choice through Privacy Settings. Withdrawal stops future optional analytics collection and removes or invalidates the optional analytics session identifier according to the live implementation.
You can also delete or block storage through your browser. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may sign you out, prevent acceptance from being remembered, or stop security-protected forms and account features from working correctly.
