1. Scope and contracting party
Version 2026-07-26-r3, effective 26 July 2026.
At a glance: Protect your account, play fairly, and respect persistent shared worlds. Virtual gold, items, and Supporter Passes have no cash value. Changes made in shared worlds may be visible to other players and persist over time.
These Terms govern Forge & Pray, a browser game privately operated by the person identified in the Legal Notice. They apply to guest access, registered accounts, saved progress, multiplayer gameplay, creator or support functions, and related website features.
By creating an account or continuing after an acceptance prompt, you agree to the version shown at that prompt. Mandatory rights under German and European Union law remain unaffected.
On this page:
2. Access, accounts, and eligibility
Limited features may be available without an account. A registered account is required for persistent progress and other identified features. Required registration information must be accurate, credentials must be protected, and suspected compromise should be reported without delay.
Accounts are personal. They may not be sold, transferred, shared, or made available to another person without the operator's permission. Use by minors is subject to applicable law and the authority of a parent or guardian where their involvement is required.
3. Free service, virtual gold, and Supporter Passes
Ordinary access is currently provided without a purchase price. Forge & Pray does not currently offer an external real-money checkout, cash-out, gambling, or a promise that virtual currency or items have monetary value.
Gold, materials, inventory items, progress, ranks, and benefits are game data only. They are not legal tender, cannot be redeemed for money, and may be transferred only through game functions that expressly permit it.
A Supporter Pass is a time-limited in-game status activated only with virtual gold. It is not a paid subscription or recurring contract, does not debit a bank or payment account, and does not renew for real money. If paid content is introduced later, the required price, performance, cancellation, withdrawal, and consumer information will be supplied before a purchase.
4. Forge instances and persistent shared worlds
Forge is the game's single curated starter template. When a player begins, the service creates an account-linked Forge instance from that starting state. The instance is not a separately authored “personal map”; it is the player's evolving version of the common Forge starting point.
Other maps are persistent multiplayer worlds. The server maintains one shared clock and world state. Players may see one another moving, interacting, planting, harvesting, building, or changing terrain. Valid changes can become visible to other connected players and may persist for later sessions.
Terrain may support textures and conditions such as raked, dug, seeded, watered, wet, dry, or otherwise cultivated. Digging or raking produces inventory materials only where that terrain action is configured with a valid game item, including Fresh Grass, Wet Grass, or Dried Grass where applicable. Server validation decides the final result of an interaction.
World state may be corrected, rolled back, migrated, or removed when reasonably necessary to repair corruption, fix exploits, moderate abuse, maintain compatibility, or continue development. No player owns a map instance, terrain tile, virtual item, or database record.
5. Fair play and acceptable use
Use the service lawfully and in a way that respects other players and the shared world. In particular, do not:
- cheat, use unauthorized automation, manipulate client or network state, duplicate items, or exploit a defect for an unfair advantage;
- grief shared maps, obstruct other players, harass or impersonate people, send spam, or submit unlawful or harmful material;
- bypass security, access another person's account or data, probe systems beyond lawful and proportionate security research, or disrupt availability;
- infringe copyright, personality, privacy, trademark, or other rights; or
- sell accounts, virtual items, access, or operator-owned content outside functions expressly approved by the operator.
If a defect could affect security, privacy, the economy, or shared-world integrity, stop using it and report it through the contact route in the Legal Notice.
6. Moderation and enforcement
The operator may investigate credible misuse and take proportionate action. Depending on seriousness and urgency, this may include a warning, removal of content, correction of progress or world state, restriction of a feature, temporary suspension, or account termination.
Evidence, repetition, impact on other players, security risk, and the affected user's interests will be considered. Unless immediate action is reasonably necessary, the operator will provide a reason and a practical contact route for review.
7. Player and creator content
You retain the rights you hold in content that you submit. You confirm that you may lawfully provide it and that it does not violate another person's rights.
You grant the operator a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence limited to storing, reproducing, technically adapting, displaying, moderating, and backing up the content as needed to operate, secure, and present the requested service. The licence ends when the content is deleted, subject to necessary backups, legal retention, and copies already lawfully shared with others.
Forge & Pray software, game data, artwork, writing, audio, maps, and branding remain protected as described in the Software and Third-Party Notices.
8. Availability, maintenance, and changes
Forge & Pray is a small, actively developed hobby project and is not supplied with a guaranteed service level. Maintenance, defects, security incidents, capacity limits, or circumstances outside reasonable control may interrupt access.
Features, maps, balancing, item links, saved-data formats, and technical requirements may change for security, legal compliance, compatibility, abuse prevention, or continued development. Where rules on digital products apply, mandatory requirements concerning provision, conformity, updates, modifications, and remedies take precedence over these Terms.
9. Account closure and service discontinuation
You may stop using the service and request account deletion at any time. Some records may need to be retained for legal duties, security, dispute handling, or the protection of other users, as explained in the Privacy Policy.
The operator may discontinue the entire free service for a valid operational reason after reasonable notice where practicable. Closure or restriction cannot exclude mandatory consumer remedies or data-protection rights.
10. Liability
Liability is unlimited for intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body or health, guarantees, fraudulent concealment, and mandatory statutory liability.
For ordinary negligence, liability is limited, where legally permitted, to breach of an essential contractual obligation and to foreseeable loss typical of the agreement. Mandatory consumer, product, and data-protection rights remain unaffected.
11. Changes, governing law, and contact
Material changes to these Terms will be published clearly and, where reasonably possible, before they take effect. Fresh acceptance will be requested where agreement is legally required; silence is not consent where an affirmative choice is required.
German law applies without depriving consumers of mandatory protection granted by the law of their habitual residence. These Terms do not impose an exclusive place of jurisdiction on consumers.
